Abstract
Embodiments are related generally to electronic displays and, more particularly, to emissive displays made with transparent sheets having phosphor dots on the surface for the purpose of color conversion.
Claims15
An emissive display using printed phosphor color conversion sheets, the display comprising:
- a backplane comprising a top surface with a first number of light emitting diode (LED) devices aligned in an array;
- and,
- a first transparent substrate attached to the top surface of the backplane, wherein the first transparent substrate includes a top surface having a second number of printed phosphor dots, and wherein the second number of printed phosphor dots overly a subset of the first number of the LED devices.
