Electronic system, electronic device and controlling method thereof

A controlling method of an electronic device, the method comprising:

• connecting, via a first communication interface of the electronic device, the electronic device to an interface device for interfacing with an external peripheral;
• receiving, via a second communication interface of the electronic device, a remote control signal at a carrier frequency from a remote control device for controlling the external peripheral device;
• and
• transmitting, via the first communication interface, the received remote control signal at the carrier frequency to the interface device.

An electronic system comprising:

• an electronic device;
• and
• an interface device configured to interface with the electronic device and an external peripheral device,
• wherein the electronic device comprises:
• a first communication interface configured to connect the electronic device to the interface device,
• a second communication interface configured to receive, from a remote control device, a remote control signal for controlling the external peripheral device, and
• a processor configured to, in response to the remote control signal at a carrier frequency being received from the remote control device via the second communication interface, control the first communication interface to transmit the received remote control signal at the carrier frequency to the interface device, and
• wherein the interface device is further configured to transmit the remote control signal received from the electronic device to the external peripheral device.
