Abstract
During an intraoral scan session, a processing device receives a plurality of intraoral images of a dental site. The processing device determines that a historical template of the dental site is existent and registers a first intraoral image of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a first region of the dental site depicted in the historical template. The processing device may register one or more remaining intraoral images of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a second region of the dental site depicted in the historical template. The first region may be separated from the second region.
Claims24
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a processing device, a plurality of intraoral images of a dental site during an intraoral scan session;
- determining, by the processing device, that a historical template of the dental site is existent;
- registering, by processing device, a first intraoral image of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a first region of the dental site depicted in the historical template;
- and
- displaying, by the processing device, the registered first intraoral image at the first region on the historical template.
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a processing device, a plurality of intraoral images of a dental site during an intraoral scan session;
- determining, by the processing device, that a historical template of the dental site is existent;
- registering, the by processing device, a first intraoral image of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a first region of the dental site depicted in the historical template;
- and
- registering, by the processing device, one or more remaining intraoral images of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a second region of the dental site depicted in the historical template.
A system, comprising:
- a memory to store a plurality of intraoral images of a dental site and a historical template of the dental site;
- and
- a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory, the processing device to:
- receive the plurality of intraoral images of the dental site during an intraoral scan session;
- determine that a first intraoral image of the plurality of intraoral images does not register to any remaining intraoral image of the plurality of intraoral images;
- determine that the historical template of the dental site is existent;
- registering, the first intraoral image to the historical template at a first region of the dental site depicted in the historical template;
- and
- register remaining intraoral images of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a second region of the dental site depicted in the historical template, wherein the first region is separated from the second region.
A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium including instructions that, when accessed by a processing device, cause the processing device to:
- receive a plurality of intraoral images of a dental site during an intraoral scan session;
- determine that a historical template of the dental site is existent;
- register, a first intraoral image of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a first region of the dental site depicted in the historical template;
- and
- register one or more remaining intraoral images of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a second region of the dental site depicted in the historical template.
