Management of data transfers

A method for communicating engine data comprising:

• receiving, by one or more computing devices, data;
• separating, by the one or more computing devices, the data into categories;
• for one or more categories:
• creating, by the one or more computing devices, a file comprising the separated data;
• and
• naming, by the one or more computing devices, the file, at least in part, based on the category and based on a file naming convention;
• prioritizing, by the one or more computing devices, the created files;
• transmitting, by the one or more computing devices, an identification file comprising identification information for a wireless communication unit and the file naming convention;
• and
• transmitting, by the one or more computing devices, the created files based on the priority.

A system for communicating engine data comprising:

• one or more memory devices;
• and
• one or more processors configured to:
• receive data;
• separate the data into categories;
• for one or more categories:
• create a file comprising the separated data;
• and
• name the file, at least in part, based on the category and based on a file naming convention;
• prioritize the created files;
• transmit an identification file comprising identification information for a wireless communication unit and the file naming convention;
• and
• transmit the created files based on the priority.
