An image forming apparatus configured to store print data received from an external apparatus and register storage location information on the print data in association with user information, thereby enabling print data associated with a user who is currently in a login state to be acquired from a storage location and then to be printed, comprising:

• one or more controllers that include at least one processor that executes a program or include circuitry that has a function, the one or more controllers being configured to function as:
• a registration unit configured to register, in a specific situation, without registering storage location information on print data received from an external apparatus, information that indicates that the storage location information has not been registered, in association with user information;
• and
• a notification unit that causes, on a basis that the user associated with the information is currently in a login state, a display device to display notification information on the print data for which the storage location information has not been registered.

An image forming apparatus capable of acquiring print data associated with a user who is currently in a login state and then perform printing by using storage location information registered in association with user information, comprising:

• one or more controllers that include at least one processor that executes a program or include circuitry that has a function, the one or more controllers being configured to function as:
• an acquisition unit configured to acquire information that is associated with user information and indicates that storage location information on print data has not been registered in a specific situation;
• and
• a notification unit that causes, on a basis that the user associated with the information is currently in a login state, a display device to display notification information on the print data for which the storage location information has not been registered.

An image forming apparatus configured to store print data received from an external apparatus and register identification information on the print data in association with user information, thereby presenting identification information on print data associated with a user who is currently in a login state and prompting the user to give a print instruction, comprising:

• one or more controllers that include at least one processor that executes a program or include circuitry that has a function, the one or more controllers being configured to function as:
• a registration unit configured to register, in a specific situation, without registering identification information on print data received from an external apparatus, information that indicates that the identification information has not been registered, in association with user information;
• and
• a notification unit that causes, on a basis that the user associated with the information is currently in a login state, a display device to display notification information on the print data for which the identification information has not been registered.

An image forming apparatus configured to accept a print instruction for print data associated with a user who is currently in a login state by using identification information registered in association with user information, comprising:

• one or more controllers that include at least one processor that executes a program or include circuitry that has a function, the one or more controllers being configured to function as:
• an acquisition unit configured to acquire information that is associated with user information and indicates that identification information on print data has not been registered in a specific situation;
• and
• a notification unit that causes, on a basis that the user associated with the information is currently in a login state, a display device to display notification information on the print data for which the identification information has not been registered.

An image forming apparatus configured to store print data received from an external apparatus in association with user information, thereby enabling print data associated with a login user to be instructed to be printed, comprising:

• one or more controllers that include at least one processor that executes a program or include circuitry that has a function, the one or more controllers being configured to function as:
• a memory unit configured to determine that no print instruction is able to be given for received print data in a specific situation, and store information indicating receipt of the print data for which no print instruction is able to be given in association with user information;
• and
• a notification unit that causes, on a basis that the user associated with the information is currently in a login state, a display device to display notification information on the print data for which no print instruction is able to be given.
