User interface device and method for displaying user interface

A user interface device for superimposing at least part of a plurality of screen layers for display on a screen, the user interface device comprising:

• a processor to execute a program;
• and
• a memory to store the program which, when executed by the processor, performs the processes of,
• acquiring input information from outside,
• transmitting inquiry information inquiring whether said input information is accepted in each of said screen layers,
• determining, concurrently for at least two screen layers out of said plurality of screen layers, whether said input information is information that is accepted in each of said screen layers, based on said inquiry information, and
• deciding at least one of said screen layers in which said input information is accepted, based on a determination result,
• wherein when a predetermined switching condition is satisfied, said user interface device sequentially determines, for each of said screen layers, whether said input information is information that is accepted in each of said screen layers.

A method for displaying a user interface for superimposing at least part of a plurality of screen layers for display on a screen, the method comprising:

• transmitting inquiry information inquiring whether input information from outside is accepted in each of said screen layers;
• determining, concurrently for at least two screen layers out of said plurality of screen layers, whether said input information is information that is accepted in each of said screen layers, based on said inquiry information;
• and
• checking, sequentially in order from a highest screen layer out of said plurality of screen layers, whether each of said plurality of screen layers is said screen layer in which said input information is accepted, based on a result of said determination, and deciding, when finding that the screen layer concerned is said screen layer in which said input information is accepted, that the screen layer concerned is one of said screen layers in which said input information is accepted.
