Abstract
The invention comprises a product comprising a continuous phase comprising water and a discontinuous phase comprising an asphalt composition and a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer. A method for using the composition is also disclosed.

An emulsion comprising:
- a continuous phase comprising water;
- and
- a discontinuous phase comprising an asphalt composition and a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer.
A method for bonding a layer of asphalt pavement material to a substrate, the method comprising:
- applying to an exposed surface of a substrate layer an aqueous emulsion comprising:
- a continuous phase comprising water;
- and
- a discontinuous phase comprising an asphalt composition and a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer;
- and
- allowing the aqueous emulsion to at least partially cure.
