Abstract
A material including a transparent substrate coated with a stack acting on infrared radiation includes at least one functional layer and at least one upper protective layer deposited above at least a part of the functional layer. The upper protective layer is a hydrogenated carbon layer, within which layer the carbon atoms form carbon-carbon and carbon-hydrogen bonds and are essentially in an sp2 hybridization state.
Claims22
A material comprising a transparent substrate coated with a stack acting on infrared radiation comprising:
- at least one functional layer and
- at least one upper protective layer deposited above at least a part of the functional layer,
- wherein the upper protective layer is a hydrogenated carbon layer, within which layer the carbon atoms form carbon-carbon and carbon-hydrogen bonds and are essentially in an sp2 hybridization state and which comprises at least 10% of hydrogen atoms with respect to the total number of carbon and hydrogen atoms.
A process for the preparation of a material comprising a transparent substrate coated with a stack acting on infrared radiation, comprising:
- depositing, by magnetic-field-assisted cathode sputtering, starting from the transparent substrate:
- at least one functional layer and
- at least one upper protective layer deposited above at least a part of the functional layer,
- wherein the upper protective layer is a hydrogenated carbon layer obtained by sputtering a carbon target in a reactive atmosphere comprising a hydrocarbon.
