Abstract
Methods for suppressing IgE-mediated anaphylaxis are provided herein, which include administering to a person in need thereof a combination of at least two therapeutic agents selected from the group consisting of an antihistamine, one or more beta-adrenergic agonists, and one or more tyrosine kinase antagonists. Also provided herein are methods of suppressing IgE-mediated anaphylaxis associated with immunotherapeutic desensitization of a subject, and pharmaceutical compositions for suppressing IgE-mediated anaphylaxis.
Claims23
A method of suppressing IgE-mediated anaphylaxis comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a combination of least two therapeutic agents selected from the group consisting of imatinib, fostamatinib, and triprolidine.

A method of suppressing IgE-mediated anaphylaxis associated with immunotherapeutic desensitization of a subject in need thereof, the method comprising:
- a) treating the subject with a combination of at least two therapeutic agents selected from the group consisting of imatinib, fostamatinib, and triprolidine;
- and
- b) administering to the subject an antigen or an antibody selected from the group consisting of an anti-IgE monoclonal antibody, an anti-Fc epsilon receptor I alpha (FcεRIα) monoclonal antibody, and combinations thereof,
- wherein the treating step (a) suppresses IgE-mediated anaphylaxis in the subject.

A pharmaceutical composition for suppressing IgE-mediated anaphylaxis comprising:
- (a) a safe and effective amount of at least two therapeutic agents selected from the group consisting of triprolidine, imatinib, and fostamatinib;
