Abstract
A manipulation assembly includes a delivery catheter having a lumen extending therethrough and a deployment catheter positioned within the delivery catheter. The deployment catheter is independently manipulatable with respect to the delivery catheter. The assembly further includes a visualization element extendable distally beyond the deployment catheter and an ablation probe comprising an energy transmitting surface positionable to ablate tissue adjacent to a distal end of the ablation probe. The ablation probe is extendable distally beyond the deployment catheter.

A manipulation assembly comprising:
- a delivery catheter having a lumen extending therethrough;
- a deployment catheter positioned within the delivery catheter, the deployment catheter being independently manipulatable with respect to the delivery catheter;
- a visualization element extendable distally beyond the deployment catheter;
- and
- an ablation probe, the ablation probe being extendable distally beyond the deployment catheter.
A method comprising:
- positioning a distal end of a deployment catheter adjacent a tissue region;
- passing a delivery catheter through the deployment catheter, the delivery catheter being independently steerable from the deployment catheter;
- extending an ablation probe from a distal end of the deployment catheter;
- ablating the tissue region with the ablation probe;
- and
- visualizing the tissue region with a visualization element while ablating the tissue region.
A system comprising:
- a steerable delivery catheter having a lumen extending therethrough;
- a steerable deployment catheter positioned within the delivery catheter, the deployment catheter being independently steerable with respect to the delivery catheter;
- a conical membrane positioned on a distal end of the deployment catheter, the conical membrane having a distal membrane at a distal end of the conical membrane, the distal membrane comprising an aperture;
- a visualization element extendable distally beyond the deployment catheter and into an open area defined by the conical membrane and distal membrane;
- and
- an ablation probe, the ablation probe being extendable distally beyond the deployment catheter and through the aperture.
