Elastic sizing mechanism

Headwear comprising:

• a crown including a cap;
• a ballistic size-adjusting mechanism extending around only a portion of a perimeter of the cap and adapted to selectively adjust a size of the cap, the ballistic size-adjusting mechanism comprising a double-sided sew flange, a strap coupled to an inner surface of the perimeter of the cap via the double-sided sew flange and a fixed loop structure directly coupled to an outer surface of the perimeter of the cap, the strap further comprising a hook adapted to be inserted into a selected loop of the fixed loop structure to adjust a circumference of the headwear, and the double-sided sew flange including a first slot and a second slot disposed on opposing terminating ends of the double-sided sew flange from one another.

Headwear comprising:

• a crown including a cap;
• a buckle size-adjusting mechanism extending around only a portion of a perimeter of the cap and adapted to selectively adjust a size of the cap, the buckle size-adjusting mechanism comprising a fixed strap coupled to the perimeter of the cap, a double-sided sew flange, and a pullable strap coupled to the perimeter of the cap via the double-sided sew flange, the fixed strap being coupled to a first portion of a buckle and the pullable strap being coupled to a second portion of the buckle, the first and second portions of the buckle configured to connect to one another in a fastened condition, and the double-sided sew flange including a first slot and a second slot disposed on opposing terminating ends of the double-sided sew flange from one another.
