Abstract
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for initiating a random access procedure in a carrier aggregation system, the method comprising: receiving, from a network, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) signal which configures a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource for a cell in a Timing Advance Group (TAG); checking whether a Time Alignment Timer (TAT) associated with the TAG to which the cell with PUCCH resource belong is running or not; and initiating a random access procedure if the associated TAT is not running.
Claims16
A method for a User Equipment (UE) operating in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a network, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) signal which configures a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource for a cell in a Timing Advance Group (TAG);
- checking whether a Time Alignment Timer (TAT) associated with the TAG to which the cell with PUCCH resource belong is running or not;
- and
- initiating a random access procedure if the associated TAT is not running.
A User Equipment (UE) operating in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:
- a Radio Frequency (RF) module;
- and
- a processor configured to control the RF module,
- wherein the processor is configured to receive, from a network, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) signal which configures a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource for a cell in a Timing Advance Group (TAG), to check whether a Time Alignment Timer (TAT) associated with the TAG to which the cell with PUCCH resource belong is running or not, and to initiate a random access procedure if the associated TAT is not running.
