Abstract
An apparatus and method for performing automatic keystone correction and automatic focus correction in a system. In one embodiment, the method comprises analyzing an image projected on a projection surface by a projector of a device and captured by one or more cameras of the device to determine whether shape of the image indicates keystone correction is needed and adjusting display output of the projector to cause the display output to be rectangular on the projection surface.
Claims22
A method comprising:
- analyzing an image projected on a projection surface by a projector of a device and captured by one or more cameras of the device to determine whether shape of the image indicates keystone correction is needed, wherein analyzing the image comprises generating parameters from the image captured by the one or more cameras;
- and
- adjusting display output of the projector based on the parameters generated from the image to cause the display output to be rectangular on the projection surface.
A system comprising:
- a projector;
- one or more cameras;
- and
- a processor coupled to the projector and the one or more cameras and operable to analyze an image projected on a projection surface by a projector of a device and captured by one or more cameras of the device to determine whether shape of the image indicates keystone correction is needed, generate parameters from the image captured by the one or more cameras, and adjust display output of the projector based on the parameters generated from the image captured by the one or more cameras to cause the display output to be rectangular on the projection surface.
An article of manufacture having one or more non-transitory computer readable storage media storing instructions which when executed by a system to perform a method comprising:
- analyzing an image projected on a projection surface by a projector of a device and captured by one or more cameras of the device to determine whether shape of the image indicates keystone correction is needed, wherein analyzing the image comprises generating parameters from the image captured by the one or more cameras;
- and
- adjusting display output of the projector based on the parameters generated from the image to cause the display output to be rectangular on the projection surface.
A method comprising:
- determining whether an image projected by a projector of a device is out of focus;
- adjusting focus of the projector output based on depth information obtained from images captured from one or more cameras of the device;
- and
- performing keystone correction on the images captured from the one or more cameras by generating parameters from each image captured by the one or more cameras and adjusting display output of the projector based on the parameters to cause the display output to be rectangular on a projection surface.
A system comprising:
- a projector;
- one or more cameras;
- and
- a processor coupled to the projector and operable to determine whether an image projected by the projector is out of focus and to adjust focus of the projector output based on depth information obtained from images captured from the one or more cameras of the device and to perform keystone correction on an image captured from the one or more cameras by generating parameters from the image captured by the one or more cameras and adjusting display output of the projector based on the parameters to cause the display output to be rectangular on a projection surface.
