Security confirmation apparatus, system, information processing method, and storage medium

A system including a confirmation apparatus and a plurality of information processing apparatuses,

• the confirmation apparatus comprising:
• a confirmation memory device that stores a set of confirmation instructions;
• and
• at least one confirmation processor that executes the set of confirmation instructions to:
• determine whether one information processing apparatus from among the plurality of information processing apparatuses executes communication via a firewall;
• set predetermined ports as inspection targets in a first case where it is determined that the one information processing apparatus executes communication via the firewall;
• set ports listed in a used port list received from the one information processing apparatus as the inspection targets in a second case where it is determined that the one information processing apparatus executes communication without interposing the firewall;
• inspect ports set as the inspection targets;
• notify the one information processing apparatus of an inspection result;
• and
• each of the plurality of information apparatuses comprising:
• an information memory device that stores a set of information instructions;
• and
• at least one information processor that executes the set of information instructions to:
• transmit a security confirmation instruction to the confirmation apparatus;
• receive the inspection result;
• and
• output the received inspection result.

An information processing method executed by a confirmation apparatus, comprising:

• determining whether an information processing apparatus that has transmitted a security confirmation instruction executes communication via a firewall;
• setting predetermined ports as inspection targets in a first case where it is determined that the information processing apparatus executes communication via the firewall by the determining, and setting ports listed in a used port list received from the information processing apparatus as the inspection targets in a second case where it is determined that the information processing apparatus executes communication without interposing the firewall;
• inspecting ports set as the inspection targets;
• and
• notifying the information processing apparatus of an inspection result acquired by the inspection of the inspection targets.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program for causing a processor to execute a method of controlling a confirmation apparatus, the method comprising:

• determining whether an information processing apparatus that has transmitted a security confirmation instruction executes communication via a firewall;
• setting predetermined ports as inspection targets in a first case where it is determined that the information processing apparatus executes communication via the firewall, and setting ports listed in a used port list received from the information processing apparatus to be among the inspection targets in a second case where it is determined that the information processing apparatus executes communication without interposing the firewall;
• inspecting ports set as the inspection targets;
• and
• notifying the information processing apparatus of an inspection result acquired by the inspection of the inspection targets.
