Abstract
Provided are an olivine-type positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a method for preparing the same, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same, wherein the olivine-type positive electrode active material may be represented by Formula 1: LiwMn1-(x+y+z)MxM′yM41zPO4 Formula [1] wherein, in Formula 1, 0.95<w≦1.05, 0<x≦0.1, 0<y≦5 0.1, 0<z≦0.1, provided that 0<x+y+z≦0.2, and M, M′, and M″ are each independently an element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Co, Fe, Mg, V, Zn, Cu, Al, and Ga.

An olivine-type positive electrode active material represented by Formula 1:
- LiwMn1-(x+y+z)MxM′yM″zPO4 [Formula 1]
- wherein, in Formula 1,
- 0.95<w≦1.05,
- 0<x≦0.1,
- 0<y≦0.1,
- 0<z≦0.1,
- provided that 0<x+y+z<0.2, and
- M, M′, and M″ are each independently an element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Co, Fe, Mg, V, Zn, Cu, Al, and Ga.
