Abstract
A wireless transmit/receive unit includes at least one processor that receives a high speed physical downlink shared channel, and in response, transmits at least one random access channel preamble followed by ACK/NACK and channel quality indicator (CQI) information. The at least one random access channel preamble is selected from a set of random access preambles reserved for the ACK/NACK and CQI information.
Claims10
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising:
- a receiver;
- a transmitter;
- a processor;
- the receiver and the processor configured to receive a message from a base station, wherein the message indicates, for each of a plurality of different types of feedback messages, respective time-frequency resources, wherein the different types of feedback messages include acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement information and channel quality indication information;
- the processor configured to produce a first feedback message and determine the respective time-frequency resources based on a type of feedback message of the first feedback message;
- and
- the processor and the transmitter configured to transmit the first feedback message in the determined respective time-frequency resources.
A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:
- receiving a message from a base station, wherein the message indicates, for each of a plurality of different types of feedback messages, respective time-frequency resources, wherein the different types of feedback messages include acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement information and channel quality indication information;
- producing a first feedback message and determining the respective time-frequency resources based on a type of feedback message of the first feedback message;
- and
- transmitting the first feedback message in the determined respective time-frequency resources.
