Abstract
Disclosed is a method for transmitting and receiving NBIFOM capability, which receives, from a terminal, a first message including NBIFM capability information of the terminal, checks whether a network entity supports NBIFOM, and receive a second message including NBIFOM capability information of the network entity from another network entity.

A method for transmitting and receiving information on a capability supporting a specific protocol at a first entity, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a second entity, a first message indicating that one or more entities which exist on a signaling route from a user equipment (UE) to the first entity and include the second entity support the specific protocol;
- determining whether the first entity supports the specific protocol;
- and
- when the first entity supports the specific protocol, transmitting, to the second entity or a third entity, a second message indicating that the one or more entities and the first entity support the specific protocol.
A first entity for transmitting and receiving information on a capability supporting a specific protocol, the first entity comprising:
- a transmitter;
- a receiver;
- and
- a processor connected to the transmitter and the receiver,
- wherein the processor is further configured to:
- control the receiver to receive from a second entity, a first message indicating that one or more entities which exist on a signaling route from a user equipment (UE) to the first entity and include the second entity support the specific protocol;
- determine whether the first entity supports the specific protocol;
- and
- control the transmitter to transmit to the second entity or a third entity, a second message indicating that the one or more entities and the first entity support the specific protocol, when the first entity supports the specific protocol.
A method for transmitting and receiving information on a capability supporting a specific protocol at a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- transmitting, to a mobility management entity (MME), a first message indicating that the UE supports the specific protocol;
- and
- receiving, from the MME, a second message indicating that the MME and one or more entities support the specific protocol, when the MME and the one or more entities support the specific protocol.
A user equipment (UE) for transmitting and receiving information on a capability supporting a specific protocol, the UE comprising:
- a transmitter;
- a receiver;
- and
- a processor connected to the transmitter and the receiver,
- wherein the processor is further configured to:
- control the transmitter to transmit to a mobility management entity (MME), a first message indicating that the UE supports the specific protocol;
- and
- control the receiver to receive from the MME, a second message indicating that the MME and one or more entities support the specific protocol, when the MME and the one or more entities support the specific protocol.
