Abstract
According to an aspect of an embodiment, a method may include obtaining a first digital image that depicts a first aerial view of a first area of a setting. The method may additionally include obtaining a second digital image that depicts a second aerial view of a second area of the setting. Further, the method may include determining an overlapping area where the first area and the second area overlap and obtaining a third digital image based on the overlapping area, the first digital image, and the second digital image. In addition, the method may include generating a stereoscopic image of the setting based on the first digital image and the third digital image.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- obtaining a first digital image that depicts a first aerial view of a first area of a setting, the first digital image having a first center point that corresponds to a first coordinate within the setting;
- obtaining a second digital image that depicts a second aerial view of a second area of the setting, the second digital image having a second center point that corresponds to a second coordinate within the setting, the second coordinate being laterally offset from the first coordinate by a target offset;
- determining an overlapping area where the first area and the second area overlap;
- obtaining a third digital image based on the overlapping area, the first digital image, and the second digital image;
- generating a first-eye image of a stereoscopic image of the setting based on the first digital image;
- generating a second-eye image of the stereoscopic image based on the third digital image;
- and
- presenting the stereoscopic image on a screen of an electronic device.
Non-transitory computer-readable storage media including computer executable instructions configured to cause a system to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- obtaining a first digital image that depicts a first aerial view of a first area of a setting, the first digital image having a first center point that corresponds to a first coordinate within the setting;
- obtaining a second digital image that depicts a second aerial view of a second area of the setting, the second digital image having a second center point that corresponds to a second coordinate within the setting, the second coordinate being laterally offset from the first coordinate by a target offset;
- determining an overlapping area where the first area and the second area overlap;
- obtaining a third digital image based on the overlapping area, the first digital image, and the second digital image;
- generating a first-eye image of a stereoscopic image of the setting based on the first digital image;
- generating a second-eye image of the stereoscopic image based on the third digital image;
- and
- presenting the stereoscopic image on a screen of an electronic device.
