Method and apparatus for signaling in digital radio systems

A transmission device for transmitting at least one data stream in a broadcast system, the transmission device comprising:

• a controller configured to generate a first frame comprising a preamble and a payload, wherein the preamble comprises first information related to the payload of the first frame, and wherein the payload comprises the data;
• and
• a transmitter configured to transmit the first frame,
• wherein the preamble includes at least one parity bit for third information related to a payload of a second frame, wherein the second frame is a next frame of the first frame.

A method of receiving data by a receiver in a broadcast system, the method comprising:

• receiving a first frame comprising a preamble and a payload, wherein the preamble comprises first information related to the payload of the first frame, and wherein the payload comprises the data;
• and
• processing the first frame,
• wherein the preamble includes at least one parity bit for third information related to a payload of a second frame, wherein the second frame is a next frame of the first frame.

A receiving device for receiving data in a broadcast system, the receiving device comprising:

• a receiver configured to receive a first frame comprising a preamble and a payload, wherein the preamble comprises first information related to the payload of the first frame, and wherein the payload comprises the data;
• and
• a controller configured to process the first frame,
• wherein the preamble includes at least one parity bit for third information related to a payload of a second frame, wherein the second frame is a next frame of the first frame.
