Abstract
A device and method is which plurality of Zadoff-Chu sequences is allocated to a frame, a value of a parameter in the Zadoff-Chu sequence is different among the plurality of Zadoff-Chu sequences, and the Zadoff-Chu sequence allocated to the frame is different among a plurality of cells.

A mobile station comprising:
- a transceiver configured to send a first subframe to a base station of a first cell;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- provide first and second Zadoff-Chu sequences wherein the first Zadoff-Chu sequence is different than the second Zadoff-Chu sequence,
- allocate the first Zadoff-Chu sequence to a first portion of the first subframe, and
- allocate the second Zadoff-Chu sequence to a second portion of the first subframe,
- wherein a second subframe of a second cell includes at least a third Zadoff-Chu sequence in a first portion of the second subframe corresponding to the first portion of the first subframe and
- wherein the first Zadoff-Chu sequence is different than the third Zadoff-Chu sequence.
