Accounting system, information processing apparatus, and control program

An information processing apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• a storage unit;
• a display;
• and
• one or more first communication interfaces, the processor being configured to control the storage unit, the display, and the one or more first communication interfaces to:
• request electronic receipt data representing a transaction,
• in response to the request, receive the electronic receipt data which includes a set of character codes that represents at least one of a plurality of character strings representing details of the transaction,
• determine a category of the at least one of the plurality of character strings represented by the set of character codes included in the received electronic receipt data,
• store the set of character codes included in the received electronic receipt data in association with the determined category, and
• display details of the transaction including the determined category.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions causing an information processing apparatus to perform the steps of:

• requesting electronic receipt data representing a transaction;
• in response to the request, receiving the electronic receipt data which includes a set of character codes that represents at least one of a plurality of character strings representing details of the transaction;
• determining a category of the at least one of the character strings represented by the set of character codes included in the received electronic receipt data;
• storing the set of character codes included in the received electronic receipt data in association with the determined category;
• and
• displaying details of the transaction including the determined category.
