Abstract
A device includes a plurality of blocks. Each block of the plurality of blocks includes a plurality of rows. Each row of the plurality of rows includes a plurality of configurable elements and a routing line, whereby each configurable element of the plurality of configurable elements includes a data analysis element comprising a plurality of memory cells, wherein the data analysis element is configured to analyze at least a portion of a data stream and to output a result of the analysis. Each configurable element of the plurality of configurable elements also includes a multiplexer configured to transmit the result to the routing line.
Claims28
A device, comprising:
- a plurality of blocks, each block of the plurality of blocks comprising a plurality of rows, each row of the plurality of rows comprising a plurality of configurable elements and a routing line, each configurable element of the plurality of configurable elements comprising:
- a data analysis element comprising a plurality of memory cells, wherein the data analysis element is configured to analyze at least a portion of a data stream and to output a result of the analysis;
- and
- a multiplexer configured to transmit the result to the routing line.
A device, comprising:
- a state machine lattice comprising:
- a plurality of blocks, each block of the plurality of blocks comprising:
- a plurality of rows, each row of the plurality of rows comprising:
- a plurality of configurable elements, each configurable element of the plurality of configurable elements configured to analyze at least a portion of a data stream and to selectively output the result of the analysis;
- and
- a local routing matrix comprising a routing line coupled to at least two of the plurality of configurable elements and configured to receive the results from the at least two of the plurality of configurable elements.
A device, comprising:
- a state machine lattice comprising:
- a plurality of blocks;
- an intra-block switch configured to route signals between the plurality of blocks;
- a row coupled to the intra-block switch, wherein the row comprises:
- a plurality of configurable elements, each configurable element of the plurality of configurable elements configured to analyze at least a portion of a data stream and to selectively output the result of the analysis;
- and
- a local routing matrix comprising a routing line directly coupled to at least two of the plurality of configurable elements and configured to receive the results from the at least two of the plurality of configurable elements.
A device, comprising:
- a state machine lattice comprising:
- a row, comprising a plurality of configurable elements, each configurable element of the plurality of configurable elements configured to analyze at least a portion of a data stream and to selectively output the result of the analysis;
- and
- an intra-block switch, wherein the intra-block switch comprises a switching element coupled to the row and configured to receive the result of the analysis from each configurable element of the plurality of configurable elements.
A device, comprising:
- a state machine lattice, comprising:
- an input and output;
- an inter-block switch element coupled to the input and output;
- a row comprising a plurality of configurable elements coupled to the inter-block switch element;
- and
- a time division multiplexed signal line provided between some portions of the input and output and the plurality of configurable elements.
