Abstract
Disclosed are various embodiments of transmit and receive connectivity devices that include signal processing circuitry, an HDMI port, and a multi-position multi-contact port. The signal processing circuitry can transmit and receive signals over the multi-position multi-contact port. The signals can include a first signal corresponding to a first frequency and a second signal corresponding to a second frequency. A power and ground can be send over a cable attached to the multi-position multi-contact port.
Claims20
A transmit connectivity device, comprising:
- a high definition media interface (HDMI) port;
- a multi-position multi-contact port;
- and
- signal processing circuitry coupled to the HDMI port and the multi-position multi-contact port, the signal processing circuitry being configured to at least:
- transmit a plurality of first signals over the multi-position multi-contact port;
- transmit a plurality of second signals over the multi-position multi-contact port, wherein the plurality of first signals are transmitted at a first frequency that exceeds a second frequency corresponding to the plurality of second signals;
- transmit a power source over the multi-position multi-contact port;
- and
- transmit a ground over the multi-position multi-contact port.
A receive connectivity device, comprising:
- a high definition media interface (HDMI) port;
- a multi-position multi-contact port;
- and
- signal processing circuitry coupled to the HDMI port and the multi-position multi-contact port, the signal processing circuitry being configured to at least:
- receive a plurality of first signals over the multi-position multi-contact port;
- receive a plurality of second signals over the multi-position multi-contact port, wherein the plurality of first signals are transmitted at a first frequency that exceeds a second frequency corresponding to the plurality of second signals;
- receive a power source over the multi-position multi-contact port;
- and
- receive a ground over the multi-position multi-contact port.
