Claims9
1-20. (canceled)
A method for treating a subject identified as having cancer, comprising:
- determining a first measured level of soluble B7-H1 in a first biological fluid sample obtained from the subject prior to treatment for the cancer;
- administering to the subject a cancer therapy;
- determining a second measured level of soluble B7-H1 in a second biological fluid sample obtained from the subject after administration of the therapy;
- and
- continuing to administer the cancer therapy when the second level of soluble B7-H1 is lower than the first level of soluble B7-H1, or ceasing administration of the cancer therapy when the second level of soluble B7-H1 is not lower than the first level of soluble B7-H1.

A method for treating a subject identified as having cancer, comprising:
- (a) administering to the subject a cancer therapy;
- and
- determining a measured level of soluble B7-H1 in a biological fluid sample obtained from the subject after administration of the therapy;
- and
- (b) continuing to administer the cancer therapy when a measured level of soluble B7-H1 in a biological fluid sample obtained from the subject after the administering of step (a) is lower than a measured level of soluble B7-H1 in a biological fluid sample obtained from the subject before the administering of step (a), or ceasing administration of the cancer therapy when the measured level of soluble B7-H1 in the biological fluid sample obtained from the subject after the administering of step (a) is not lower than the measured level of soluble B7-H1 in the biological fluid sample obtained from the subject before the administering of step (a).
