Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to analog signal processing circuits and methods for cellular computation.
Claims42
An analog signal processing circuit comprising:
- (a) a first promoter operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding a regulatory protein responsive to an input signal;
- and
- (b) a second promoter responsive to the regulatory protein and operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding an output molecule.
The circuit of 18, wherein the promoter of (a) is operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding a LuxR protein.
An analog signal processing circuit comprising:
- (a) a first constitutively-active promoter operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding a regulatory protein responsive to an input signal;
- and
- (b) a second promoter responsive to the regulatory protein and operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding an output molecule, wherein the second promoter comprises a modification that alters the binding affinity of the regulatory protein for the second promoter, relative to a similar unmodified promoter.
An analog signal processing circuit comprising:
- (a) a first promoter operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding a regulatory protein responsive to an input signal, wherein the first promoter is responsive to the regulatory protein and comprises a modification that alters the binding affinity of the regulatory protein for the first promoter;
- and
- (b) a second promoter responsive to the regulatory protein and operably linked to a nucleic acid encoding an output molecule.
