Skin compositions and methods of use thereof

A formulation for application to the skin comprising:

• a) a reactive reinforcing component comprising
• (i) a reactive constituent comprising at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane and at least one hydride functionalized polysiloxane,
• wherein the at least one alkenyl functionalized organopolysiloxane comprises vinyl groups;
• and
• (ii) a reinforcing constituent;
• b) a cross-linking component comprising at least one metal catalyst;
• and
• c) one or more cosmetic or therapeutic agents;
• wherein the reactive reinforcing component has a molar ratio of vinyl to hydride functional groups of about 1:10 to about 1:100;
• and wherein the cross-linking component facilitates a reaction to form a film in situ on the skin.
