Compositions comprising electro-activated aqueous solutions and methods for the prevention and treatment of dysfunctional cardiovascular conditions are provided.

A therapeutic composition comprising an electro-activated solution with a stable negative oxidation-reduction potential in a range between −50 mV and −500 mV, a conductivity between 11 and 15 mS/cm and a pH in the range between 6.5 and 7.6.
A method for treating or preventing a dysfunctional cardiovascular condition in a subject in need thereof comprising parenterally administering to the subject a stable composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an electro-activated solution, wherein the electro-activated solution has an oxidation-reduction potential in the range between −50 mV and −500 mV, a conductivity in the range between 11 and 15 mS/cm and a pH in the range between 6.5 and 7.6.
A method of preparing a therapeutic composition with a stable negative oxidation-reduction potential in a range between −50 mV and −900 mV, a conductivity between 11 and 15 mS/cm and a pH in the range between 6.5 and 7.6, the method comprising:
- mixing a first electroactivated solution with a second electroactivated solution, the first electroactivated solution having a stable negative oxidation-reduction potential and the second electroactivated solution having a stable positive oxication-reduction potential.
A therapeutic composition comprising the product of the method of claim 27.
