Abstract
A method of preparing a shoulder to receive a glenoid component includes accessing a glenoid of a shoulder, rotationally coupling a distal portion of a combination device to an instrument, applying a torque to a proximal portion of the combination device, transferring the applied torque from the proximal portion to the distal portion through a pivotable connection, rotating the instrument using the transferred applied torque, and reaming a portion of the glenoid with a rotating reaming section of the instrument using the transferred applied torque.
Claims8
A method of preparing a shoulder to receive a glenoid component comprising:
- accessing a glenoid of a shoulder;
- rotationally coupling a distal portion of a combination device to an instrument;
- applying a torque to a proximal portion of the combination device;
- transferring the applied torque from the proximal portion to the distal portion through a pivotable connection;
- rotating the instrument using the transferred applied torque;
- and
- reaming a portion of the glenoid with a rotating reaming section of the instrument using the transferred applied torque.
