Abstract
A system includes a controller coupled to one or more sensors. The controller receives sensor data indicative of biometric data an occupant of a vehicle seat from the sensors. The controller receives the sensor data and analyzes the data to provide biometric data associated with the occupant of the vehicle seat.
Claims21
A controller for biometric measurement of a vehicle occupant, the controller comprising
- a sensor module configured to receive sensor data indicative of a heartbeat of an occupant of a vehicle seat from one or more sensors of a vehicle,
- a processing module configured to identify peaks in the sensor data based on a dynamic peak detection threshold, to score the identified peaks with a reliability score, and remove unreliable peaks, and
- a biometrics module configured to determine biometric data associated with the occupant based on reliably identified peaks.
A method for measuring a biometric measurement of a vehicle occupant, the method comprising the steps of
- receiving, by a controller of a vehicle, sensor data indicative of a heartbeat of an occupant of a vehicle from one or more sensors of the vehicle,
- detecting, via the controller, peaks in the sensor data based on a dynamic peak detection threshold configured to adjust automatically over time,
- scoring, by the controller, the reliability of each detected peak so that each detected peak is determined to be reliable or unreliable, and
- determining, by the controller, biometric data associated with the occupant based on the detected peaks determined to be reliable.
One or more computer-readable storage media comprising a plurality of instructions that in response to being executed cause a controller to receive heartbeat sensor data of an occupant of a vehicle seat from one or more sensors of the vehicle,
- identify peaks in the heartbeat sensor data associated with the occupant and determine whether the identified peaks are reliable or unreliable, and
- process the identified peaks to determine a heart rate of the occupant of the vehicle seat.
