Print control apparatus, printing system, method for controlling print control apparatus, and storage medium

A method for controlling a print control apparatus, the method comprising:

• communicating with an external apparatus on a network via a first communicator;
• and
• communicating with a printing apparatus via a second communicator,
• wherein in a case where the first communicator receives a shutdown instruction, the second communicator instructs the printing apparatus to execute shutdown processing,
• wherein in a case where the second communicator receives an end notification about the shutdown processing from the printing apparatus, the print control apparatus starts shutdown processing of the print control apparatus, and
• wherein communication between the second communicator and the printing apparatus is network communication.

A printing system comprising:

• a print control apparatus;
• and
• a printing apparatus,
• wherein the print control apparatus includes:
• a first communicator that communicates with an external apparatus on a network;
• and
• a second communicator that communicates with the printing apparatus,
• wherein the printing apparatus includes:
• a third communicator that communicates with the print control apparatus,
• wherein in a case where the first communicator receives a shutdown instruction, the second communicator instructs the printing apparatus to execute shutdown processing,
• wherein in a case where the third communicator is instructed to execute the shutdown processing by the print control apparatus, the printing apparatus starts first shutdown processing of turning off a power switch of the printing apparatus, wherein the third communicator transmits a state notification indicating that the power switch of the printing apparatus is off and an end notification about the first shutdown processing to the print control apparatus while the first shutdown processing is being executed,
• wherein in a case where the second communicator receives the state notification from the printing apparatus, the first communicator transmits the state notification to the network, and
• wherein in a case where the second communicator receives the end notification from the printing apparatus, the print control apparatus starts second shutdown processing of turning off a power switch of the print control apparatus.
