Solid State Lighting Apparatus With Electrical Connectors Including Portions Of Driver Circuits

An apparatus comprising:

• a Light Emitting Device (LED) array housing;
• an LED array within the LED array housing;
• and
• a flexible wire configured to be electrically coupled to the LED array housing, configured to receive power from a standardized electrical fixture, and configured to be flexibly coupled to an electrical connector external to the LED array housing so that the LED array housing maintains at least three degrees of freedom of movement relative to the electrical connector during installation of the apparatus.

An apparatus comprising:

• a first electrical connector configured to releasably couple to a standardized electrical fixture;
• a contact electrically coupled to the first electrical connector for receiving an AC voltage;
• a second electrical connector coupled to the contact;
• a Light Emitting Device (LED) array housing positioned outside the first electrical connector;
• an LED array positioned within the LED array housing;
• and
• a flexible wire coupled to the second electrical connector and to the LED array,
• wherein LED array housing is separated from the first electrical connector and configured to be releasably connected to the first electrical connector.
