Abstract
An image forming apparatus capable of switching power state between a first power state and a second power state, which is lower in power than the first power state, shifts from the second power state to the first power state. In a case where the image forming apparatus shifts to the second power state in response to a current time reaching a set time, the image forming apparatus is controlled not to shift from the second power state to the first power state in response to an object approaching the image forming apparatus being detected.
Claims26
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a human sensor;
- a network interface;
- and
- a power controller which shifts the image forming apparatus to a first sleep state or a second sleep state, according to a setting that has been set in advance, on a basis that a predetermined sleep condition is satisfied, wherein the image forming apparatus is able to return from the first sleep state in accordance with the human sensor sensing a human and in accordance with the network interface receiving predetermined data, and the image forming apparatus is able to return from the second sleep state in accordance with the network interface receiving the predetermined data but is not able to return in accordance with the human sensor sensing a human.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a human sensor;
- a user interface;
- and
- a power controller which shift the image forming apparatus to a first sleep state or a second sleep state, according to a setting that has been set in advance, on a basis that a predetermined sleep condition is satisfied, wherein the image forming apparatus is able to return from the first sleep state in accordance with the human sensor sensing a human and in accordance with the user interface receiving a user operation, and the image forming apparatus is able to return in accordance with the user interface receiving a user operation but is not able to return in accordance with the human sensor sensing a human.
