Abstract
Among other things, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to communicating via an avatar embedded in an email message. In some embodiments, the avatar can provide information associated with the email message.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- memory coupled to the processor and storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
- receiving, from a sender at a first computing device, an email directed to a recipient at a second computing device, wherein the email includes an embedded avatar;
- responsive to the recipient at the second computing device selecting the embedded avatar, providing an interface through which the recipient interacts to submit a query via the avatar;
- receiving the query via a communication protocol;
- parsing and analyzing the received query;
- retrieving an answer corresponding to the parsed and analyzed query from a mailbox of the sender, wherein the mailbox of the sender includes emails associated with the parsed and analyzed query;
- sending the answer to the second computing device;
- and
- initiating display of the answer via the avatar on the second computing device.

A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, by a computer system from a sender at a first computing device, an email directed to a recipient at a second computing device, wherein the email includes an embedded avatar;
- responsive to the recipient at the second computing device selecting the embedded avatar, providing, by the computer system, an interface through which the recipient interacts to submit a query via the avatar;
- receiving, by the computer system, the query via a communication protocol;
- parsing and analyzing the received query by the computer system;
- retrieving, by the computer system, an answer corresponding to the parsed and analyzed query from a mailbox of the sender, wherein the mailbox of the sender includes emails associated with the parsed and analyzed query;
- sending, by the computer system, the answer to the second computing device;

- initiating, by the computer system, display of the answer via the avatar on the second computing device.
