Wireless power transmitter, wireless power receiver, and operating method thereof

A wireless power transmitter for wirelessly transmitting power to a wireless power receiver, the wireless power transmitter comprising:

• a resonator that wirelessly transmits power to the wireless power receiver;
• a communication module that performs communication with the wireless power receiver;
• and
• a controller that receives manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver from the wireless power receiver through the communication module, determines whether to allow each of at least one function of the wireless power receiver to be performed based on the manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver, and transmits an authority over whether to allow each of the at least one function of the wireless power receiver to the wireless power receiver through the communication module.

An operating method of a wireless power receiver for wirelessly receiving power from a wireless power transmitter, the method comprising:

• transmitting an advertisement signal;
• receiving a connection request signal corresponding to the advertisement signal;
• and
• transmitting a power receiving unit static parameter signal comprising manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver in response to the connection request signal.
