White or off-white hidden display apparatus, system, and method

A method of visually obscuring a graphical display, the method comprising:

• selecting between an active mode and an inactive mode of a projection layer of the graphical display, the graphical display having a face layer, wherein the projection layer is positioned behind the face layer;
• when in the active mode, projecting white light from an OLED light source of the projection layer to the face layer to display one or more high resolution images on the face layer;
• and
• when in the inactive mode, visually obscuring the face layer as a white or off-white surface, and hiding the projection layer.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable code, the code executable by a processor to:

• select between an active mode and an inactive mode of a projection layer of the graphical display, the graphical display having a face layer and the projection layer, wherein the projection layer is positioned behind the face layer
• when in the active mode, project white light from an OLED light source of the projection layer to the face layer to display one or more high resolution images on the face layer;
• and
• when in the inactive mode, visually obscure the face layer as a white or off-white surface, and hiding the projection layer.
