Stereo multi-projection implemented using a graphics processing pipeline

A non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform steps comprising:

• configuring a graphics processing pipeline to render primitive data for a model according to at least two views;
• receiving the primitive data for the model at a first portion of the graphics processing pipeline;
• processing, within the first portion of the graphics processing pipeline, the primitive data to generate processed primitive data, wherein the processed primitive data includes vertex data for at least one primitive, and wherein each primitive comprises a plurality of vertices, each vertex in the plurality of vertices comprising a data structure that includes at least two vertex attributes, the at least two vertex attributes including a number of position vectors corresponding to a number of views in the at least two views;
• storing the processed primitive data in a buffer in a memory;
• and
• for each view of the at least two views:
• selecting a particular view of the at least two views,
• reading the processed primitive data from the buffer based on the selected view, and
• generating image data for the selected view within a second portion of the graphics processing pipeline.

A system, comprising:

• a parallel processing unit configured to implement one or more stages of a graphics processing pipeline, the parallel processing unit configured to:
• render primitive data for a model according to at least two views,
• receive the primitive data for the model at a first portion in the graphics processing pipeline,
• process, within the first portion of the graphics processing pipeline, the primitive data to generate processed primitive data, wherein the processed primitive data includes vertex data for at least one primitive, and wherein each primitive comprises a plurality of vertices, each vertex in the plurality of vertices comprising a data structure that includes at least two vertex attributes, the at least two vertex attributes including a number of position vectors corresponding to a number of views in the at least two views,
• store the processed primitive data in a buffer in a memory, and
• for each view of the at least two views:
• select a particular view of the at least two views,
• read the processed primitive data from the buffer based on the selected view, and
• generate image data for the selected view within a second portion of the graphics processing pipeline.
