Abstract
The present disclosure provides means and methods for promoting gastric emptying. In particular, the present disclosure provides the use of insulin or a composition comprising same for promoting gastric emptying and for treating gastric disorders, particularly disorders characterized by delayed gastric emptying. The insulin or composition comprising same are to be administered enterally.

A method for promoting gastric emptying in a subject in need thereof, comprising the step of enterally administering an effective amount of insulin or a composition comprising same to the subject, thereby promoting the gastric emptying in said subject.

A kit for use in promoting gastric emptying, the kit comprising:

A kit for use in promoting gastric emptying, the kit comprising:
- (i) nutritional composition comprising insulin, or equivalent thereof, and a carrier, excipient or diluents suitable for oral use;
- and
- (ii) written instruction for use of said composition.
