Abstract
An access medium includes a passive e-paper, display portion to display a first access element and a memory resource to store a second access element. Authentication is determined by evaluation of the first access element and evaluation of the second access element.
Claims15
An access medium comprising:
- a passive e-paper, display portion to receive an externally written, secure first access element after deployment of a one-time code;
- and
- a memory resource to store a second access element,
- wherein authentication is determined by evaluation of the first access element and evaluation of the second access element by an access manager.
1 more element
An access workflow system comprising:
- a terminal including:
- a first module to authorize use of an access card upon receipt of a one-time code;
- an imager to write, upon authorization via the first module, a secure representation of a first access element on a passive e-paper display portion of the access card;
- and
- a first reader to optically read the first access element;
- and
- a second reader to read a second access element from a memory resource of the access card,
- wherein authentication is determined via evaluation of the first access element and evaluation of the second access element.
5 more elements
A computer readable medium storing instructions, executable on a processor, to:
- authorize an access medium at a terminal per a one-time code;
- upon authorization, determine authenticated access via:
- writing, via the terminal, a first secure access element on a passive e-paper display portion of the access medium;
- reading, via the terminal, the first access element;
- reading a second access element from a memory resource of the access medium;
- and
- evaluating the first access element and evaluating the second access element;
- and
- initiate access via the access medium upon successful authentication.
