Abstract
After remelting in a suitable mold for reducing grain boundaries, an oxidation-resistant material is epitaxially grown so that the oxidation resistance of a repaired material or also of a new part is improved.
Claims10
A method for surface treatment of a metallic substrate, in which the surface of the metallic substrate first undergoes remelting in order to remove cracks and to reduce grain boundaries, followed by deposition welding of a more oxidation-resistant material at least partially onto the remelted region.
A metallic component, comprising:
- on a remelt region of a substrate of the component, a more oxidation-resistant material of an epitaxially grown material.
