A microneedle comprising a plurality of portions,
- wherein the plurality of portions comprise a distal end portion and a proximal end portion,
- wherein at least two of the plurality of portions are made of different polymers, and
- wherein the distal end portion is made of at least one polymer with high swellability and high viscoelasticity.
A sheet mask comprising a plurality of microneedles, wherein one or more microneedles comprise a plurality of portions,
- wherein the plurality of portions comprise a distal end portion and a proximal end portion,
- wherein at least two of the plurality of portions are made of different polymers, and
- wherein the distal end portion is made of at least one polymer with high swellability and high viscoelasticity.
A method of cosmetic treatment of the skin with at least one microneedle, comprising inserting the at least one microneedle into the skin,
- wherein the at least one microneedle comprises a plurality of portions,
- wherein the plurality of portions comprise a distal end portion and a proximal end portion,
- wherein at least two of the plurality of portions are made of different polymers, and
- wherein the distal end portion is made of at least one polymer with high swellability and high viscoelasticity.
A method of forming a sheet comprising a plurality of microneedles, said microneedles comprising a plurality of portions comprising at least a distal end portion and a proximal end portion, comprising:
- (a) filling a mold with a blend of materials comprising a polymer with high swellability and high viscoelasticity to form the distal end portion of the microneedles, and
- (b) casting the mold with a blend of soluble materials to form the proximal end portion of the microneedles.
