Abstract
The present disclosure is generally directed to a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament and to an insert for such a device. The insert comprises a cup-shaped body with a distal end and a proximal end. The body has a sidewall and a tube which extends centrally through the cup-shaped body in a longitudinal direction, thereby defining an annular space between the sidewall and the tube. The annular space is open in the proximal direction for receiving a compression spring. The tube comprises a thread provided at an inner surface of the tube. Further, the tube, the sidewall and/or a second part comprise a clutch feature for rotationally constraining a component part to the insert.

An insert for a drug delivery device, the insert comprising a cup-shaped body with a distal end and a proximal end, the body having a sidewall and a tube extending centrally through the cup-shaped body in a longitudinal direction defining an annular space between the sidewall and the tube, wherein the annular space is open in the proximal end direction for receiving a compression spring, wherein the tube comprises a thread provided at an inner surface of the tube, and wherein at least one of the tube, the sidewall, and a separate part comprises a clutch feature for rotationally constraining a component part to the insert.
A drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament, the device comprising a housing and an insert comprising:
- a cup-shaped body with a distal end and a proximal end, the body having a sidewall and a tube extending centrally through the cup-shaped body in a longitudinal direction defining an annular space between the sidewall and the tube wherein the annular space is open in the proximal end direction for receiving a compression spring, wherein the tube comprises a thread provided at an inner surface of the tube, and wherein at least one of the tube, the sidewall, and a separate part comprises a clutch feature for rotationally constraining a component part to the insert,
- which is rotationally constrained to the housing, a cartridge holder and a cartridge containing a medicament.
