Abstract
The invention provides a hair shaping composition suitable for topical application to hair, the composition comprising from 1 to 25 wt % of one or more C2-4 monoaldehydes and from 1 to 25 wt % of one or more urea compounds; dissolved or dispersed in an aqueous carrier.

A hair shaping composition suitable for topical application to hair, the composition comprising from 1 to 5 wt % by weight based on the total weight of the composition) of glyceraldehyde and from 1 to 5 wt % (by weight based on the total weight of the composition) of urea compound of the general formula:
- in which R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each hydrogen;
- dissolved in an aqueous carrier.
