Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving a position location pilot signal from a base station at a mobile station;
- receiving propagation delay information from the base station at the mobile station;
- identifying a location of the base station based at least in part on the received position location pilot signal;
- and
- obtaining a position location of the mobile station that is based, at least in part, on the propagation delay information received from the base station and further based, at least in part, on the identified location of the base station.

A mobile station, comprising:
- a receiver;
- and
- a processor coupled to the receiver and configured to:
- receive, via the receiver, a position location pilot signal and propagation delay information from a base station;
- identify a location of the base station based at least in part on the received position location pilot signal;
- and
- obtain a position location of the mobile station that is based, at least in part, on the propagation delay information received from the base station and further based, at least in part, on the identified location of the base station.
