Systems and methods for increasing wireless throughput limitations on ethernet on a wireless access point

A wireless controller for use in a wireless information handling system having a wireless controller and a plurality of wireless access points, the wireless controller comprising:

• an interface module that receives information related to traffic from the plurality of wireless access points and that sends instructions to at least one of the plurality of wireless access points;
• a traffic sensing module that receives the information related to traffic from the interface module;
• and
• a wireless access point selection module that receives the information related to traffic from the traffic sensing module responsive to a determination that at least one of the plurality of wireless access points traffic crossed a predetermined threshold, the wireless access point selection module selects a second wireless access point to share the traffic and the wireless access point selection module sends instructions to the interface module to distribute the traffic across a plurality of wireless access point such that a wired backhaul can be shared between wireless access points.

A wireless network system, comprising:

• a plurality of wireless access points;
• an Ethernet switch coupled to the plurality of wireless access points having a wired bandwidth limitation;
• and
• a wireless controller that provides control functionality for the plurality of wireless access points, monitors traffic information from each wireless access point, and distributes traffic across at least two wireless access points such that a wired backhaul can be shared between at least two wireless access points, responsive to the traffic information crossing the wired bandwidth limitation.
