Abstract
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for invitational content geofencing. A system first sends, to a server location data associated with the system, the location data being calculated at the system. The system then receives a listing of places of interest within a geofence including a geographical perimeter for identifying places of interest in the listing, the geofence being based on the location data associated with the system. Next, the system selects a place of interest from the listing based on a location of the system. The system then presents a content item associated with the place of interest.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- determining a user's context based on contextual data collected from one or more sensors at a mobile device associated with the user, the user's context comprising a location, physical activity, a time, or weather information;
- based on the user's context, determining whether a predetermined combination of context conditions associated with the user has been satisfied, the predetermined combination of context conditions comprising at least two of a predetermined location, a predetermined physical activity, a predetermined time, or predetermined weather conditions;
- and
- in response to determining that the predetermined combination of context conditions has been satisfied, generating an indication that the predetermined combination of context conditions has been met, the indication triggering a software application on the mobile device to output one more media items selected based on the predetermined combination of context conditions.
A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- at least one computer-readable storage medium having stored therein instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to:
- determine a user's context based on contextual data collected from one or more sensors, the user's context comprising a location, physical activity, a time, or weather information;
- based on the user's context, determine whether a predetermined combination of context conditions associated with the user has been satisfied, the predetermined combination of context conditions comprising at least two of a predetermined location, a predetermined physical activity, a predetermined time, or predetermined weather conditions;
- and
- in response to determining that the predetermined combination of context conditions has been satisfied, generate a signal indicating that the predetermined combination of context conditions has been met, the signal triggering a response from a software application, the response being based on the predetermined combination of context conditions.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising:
- instructions stored thereon which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- determine a user's context based on contextual data collected from one or more sensors associated with a mobile device, the user's context comprising a location, user activity, a time, or weather information;
- based on the user's context, determine whether a predetermined combination of context conditions associated with the user has been satisfied, the predetermined combination of context conditions comprising a predetermined location, a predetermined user activity, a predetermined time, or predetermined weather conditions;
- and
- in response to determining that the predetermined combination of context conditions has been satisfied, generate a signal indicating that the predetermined combination of context conditions has been met, the signal triggering a software application to output one or more media items selected based on the predetermined combination of context conditions.
