Abstract
Systems and methods for managing and storing electronic communications are disclosed. According to certain aspects, the systems and methods may receive a request to classify a previously-sent electronic communication with a certain designation. The systems and methods may transmit a notification to the participants of the electronic communication, where the notification indicates the classification of the electronic communication. The systems and methods may store the electronic communication appropriately for later analysis and retrieval.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method in an electronic device of managing electronic communications, the method comprising:
- receiving a request to classify an electronic communication with a certain designation, the electronic communication previously sent from a sending user to a set of recipient users;
- in response to receiving the request, identifying the sending user and the set of recipient users;
- generating, by a computer processor, a notification indicating the classification of the electronic communication with the certain designation;
- sending the notification to the sending user and to the set of recipient users;
- and
- storing the electronic communication in memory to reflect the classification of the electronic communication with the certain designation.
A system for managing electronic communications, comprising:
- a transceiver configured to communicate via at least one network connection;
- a memory configured to store non-transitory computer executable instructions;
- and
- a processor configured to interface with the transceiver and the memory, wherein the processor is configured to execute the non-transitory computer executable instructions to cause the processor to:
- receive a request to classify an electronic communication with a certain designation, the electronic communication previously sent from a sending user to a set of recipient users,
- in response to receiving the request, identify the sending user and the set of recipient users,
- generate a notification indicating the classification of the electronic communication with the certain designation,
- send, via the transceiver, the notification to the sending user and to the set of recipient users, and
- store, in the memory, the electronic communication to reflect the classification of the electronic communication with the certain designation.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium, comprising:
- a plurality of instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- receive a request to classify an electronic communication with a certain designation, the electronic communication previously sent from a sending user to a set of recipient users,
- in response to receiving the request, identify the sending user and the set of recipient users,
- generate a notification indicating the classification of the electronic communication with the certain designation,
- send the notification to the sending user and to the set of recipient users, and
- store the electronic communication in memory to reflect the classification of the electronic communication with the certain designation.
