Abstract
In one implementation, a method for topology based management with stage and version policies can include associating a topology of an application under development, determining a number of policies, wherein the number of policies include stage and version policies that define a number of available infrastructures for a given stage and version of the application, associating the number of policies to a number of nodes of the topology, and provisioning the topology with the associated number of policies.
Claims15
A method for topology based management with stage and version policies, comprising:
- associating a topology with an application under development;
- determining a stage and version policy to define an available infrastructure for each of a number of stages and versions of the application;
- associating the stage and version policy to a number of nodes of the topology during preproduction and production of the application under development;
- and
- provisioning and then managing the topology with the associated stage and version policy.
A system for facilitating topology based management with stage and version policies, comprising:
- a platform to develop, test, stage, execute, and support cloud service management, the platform comprising a number of engines to:
- associate a topology of an application under development;
- determine a number of policies, wherein the number of policies include stage and version policies that define a number of available infrastructures or lower layer for a given stage and version of the application;
- associate the number of policies to a number of nodes of the topology;
- and
- provision the topology with the associated number of policies.
A computer program product for facilitating topology based management with stage and version policies, the computer program product comprising:
- a computer readable storage medium comprising computer usable program code embodied therewith, the computer usable program code comprising:
- computer usable program code to, when executed by a processor, associate a topology of an application under development;
- computer usable program code to, when executed by a processor, determine a number of policies, wherein the number of policies include stage and version policies that define a number of available infrastructures for a given stage and version of the application;
- computer usable program code to, when executed by a processor, associate the number of policies to a number of nodes of the topology;
- and
- computer usable program code to, when executed by a processor, provision the topology with the associated number of policies.
