Abstract
For allowing an access to an eye during a rinsing process it is suggested to configure an eye opening device in such a way that the eye opening device comprises two wing-like spreading elements for pulling the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid of the eye apart so as to support the opening of the eye during a rinsing process, wherein two access gaps are formed laterally between the two wing-like spreading elements of the eye opening device.

An eye opening device for opening an eye with an upper eyelid and a lower eyelid such that the eye can be rinsed, wherein the eye opening device comprises two wing-like spreading elements for pulling the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid of the eye apart so as to support the opening of the eye during a rinsing process,
- wherein the wing-like spreading elements are configured such that two access gaps for allowing an access to the eye during the rinsing process are formed laterally between the wing-like spreading elements.
