Abstract
The present invention relates to novel compounds and their use as malodor counteractant materials.

A method of counteracting malodor in an air space or a substrate comprising the step of introducing a malodor counteracting effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of:
- 1-methoxy-4-(methylethyl)-cyclohexane;
- 2-ethoxy-1,3-dimethyl-cyclohexane;
- 3-[6-methyl-2-(2-methylpropyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-yl]butanal;
- 5-hexyloxy-2,2-dimethyl-tetrahydro-furan;
- and
- a mixture thereof.

A composition for counteracting malodor in an air space or a substrate comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of:
