Abstract
Wound repair materials and methods of using the same to inhibit excess fibrosis are disclosed.
Claims38
A wound repair material for inhibiting fibrosis in wound tissue comprising a polymeric material, wherein the polymeric material comprises a poly (glycerol sebacate) (PGS).
A method of inhibiting fibrosis in a wound in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising applying a wound repair material to the wound, wherein the wound repair material comprises a polymeric material comprising a poly (glycerol sebacate) (PGS).
32-41. (canceled)
A repair material for inhibiting fibrosis and reducing scar formation at a wound, the repair material comprising a prepolymeric material comprising poly(glycerol sebacate) (PGS), wherein the repair material is configured to provide a porous film that increases oxygen availability at the wound.
